Verdict

Given the current form of Godolphin's runners, particularly first time out, Army of Angels is probably best watched and preference is for Walkonthewildside who looks a safer bet than Gallantry. The selection comfortably made all at Warwick two months ago and, despite a 9lb rise in the weights since then is still potentially well treated. Aidan O'Brien's Charismatic Cat has been in good form of late and has to be respected but the handicapper has taken note and of more interest may be John Gosden's Wazir, who lost no caste in defeat over course and distance last time. Newbury maiden winner El Rey Del Mambo makes his debut in a handicap off what looks to be a fair mark, while Sir Michael Stoute's Gallantry could be anything but is difficult to evaluate after just two starts. A safer bet then looks to be Walkonthewildside, who is taken to supplement his reappearance success.
