    Verdict

Sir Mangan won over an extended 3m at Fontwell and ran a cracker behind Ron's Dream at Cheltenham over a similar trip when only beaten half-a-length. He's been raised 7lb for that but should be thereabouts again. It will be interesting to see if there is any money for the returning Doctor Harper, who was a progressive stayer the season before last, and David Pipe also runs Taj Badalandabad, who will love conditions. Foxcub dotted up at Bangor last time but this longer distance will stretch his stamina and that of top weight Ruacana. Jonjo O'Neill has been threatening to find a decent race for BOX OFFICE and today may be his day. He thrived in the mud in France and was third here off a higher mark in April.
