      Verdict

As interesting a recruit as Sufad is, it's impossible to look beyond INDIAN GROOM who will take bigger scalps than these before the season's out. Howard Johnson's charge showed little in two runs on the level but posted an impressive performance on his hurdling bow to beat Black Jacari at Market Rasen in a race that has featured the likes of Franchoek and Katchit in recent years. Connections stated that they believed there was a good deal of improvement to come following that win but he may not need to produce any in order to land this. Just Rob made a satisfactory start to his new career at Uttoxeter but will find this tougher whilst Ski Sunday probably didn't achieve as much as the Williams runner when third at Perth. Sufad was a winner over a mile and six for Kevin Prendergast in May and has joined a top team but is best watched on this occasion unless he attracts significant support. Indian Groom sets the standard and looks the part. (Ian Ogg)
