    Verdict

Deficit has often been the subject of market support and it was not misplaced at Bath. The grey appears capable of showing his form on any surface, and having finally got his head in front, a 6lb rise might not be enough to prevent a repeat. Andrew Balding's string are in rude health so DEBDEBDEB can prove too good on this occasion. The filly did require the intervention of the stewards at Newbury in order to gift her victory, but she was far from disgraced on her first attempt over this trip at Haydock Park. Lady Pimpernel does not have a pedigree laden with stamina although her half-brother has placed in a bumper at Worcester. Arbaah was a ready winner at Newmarket last time, and the form of her earlier second at Newbury was given a significant boost by the winner last weekend.
