Verdict

Directorship almost won this from stall 14 last year so a wide draw shouldn't prove too much of a problem for SPA'S DANCER, who loves this track and was touched off on the line by that one here last month. He's only 1lb higher and can gain compensation. Bancnuanaheireann won with something in hand at Goodwood so it's a surprise that he only went up 3lb and has to be on the short-list. Basseterre hails from an in-form yard though hasn't quite recaptured last year's form but Gaul Wood scored here in September and has to be respected from just 3lb higher. Kakatosi has dropped to a winnable mark while Forgive ended the last campaign in a Listed contest after scoring on her previous two starts including over the course and distance.
