Verdict

Luca Cumani won this in 2009 with the much travelled Cima De Triomphe and has a fine chance again with the rapidly improving Danadana. Three times a winner in 2012, he carries a penalty for his Group 3 victory at Chester on his reappearance but looked in need of the run that day so can do even better. However, conceding weight to MAIN SEQUENCE looks beyond him and it's about time David Lanigan's charge got back to winning ways. Successful in his first four starts, he found only Camelot too good in the Derby so it's a surprise he hasn't won subsequently and he certainly didn't impress on his return to action at Ascot. He'll need to be back to his best but hopefully that will be the case. Mukhadram won his opening two races then ran well in all three subsequent starts and there's more to come from him this season but the remaining trio will all need to find something extra to get involved.

Mukhadram 10-1 (9-0) Switched to race far side, held up in mid-division, good headway 3f out, chased leaders 2f out, soon ridden, stayed on inside final furlong, not pace to challenge, 5th of 33, 2 3/4l behind Bronze Angel (8-8) at Newmarket 1m 1f hcp (2) gd in Sep.
