In depth

Verdict

The four-year-old Red Tornado carries a penalty for landing a novices' hurdle at Ludlow. A Listed class performer on the Flat he'll be difficult to beat though BONNE QUESTION may just have his measure. Venetia Williams' grey, a winner on the Flat at Longchamp, couldn't quite hold off Sioux Chieftain at Wetherby but was conceding 8lb and can go one better. Carthage hails from a yard in cracking form and though beaten when odds-on at Catterick probably had an off day as he'd looked a certain future winner at Musselburgh previously. Rocky Two's best run was over the track and trip and he hasn't lasted out when tackling 2m4f while winning point-to-pointer The Pierre Lark may do better when the emphasis is more on stamina.
