In depth

Verdict

Chigorin is taken to win this at the expense of Artic Cherry and Sound Of Cheers. The selection has not won for two and a half years and for that reason his only given a tentative nod. He did run well when fifth of thirteen at Newcastle on his penultimate start but was slightly below par when well beaten last time out. This though is an awful contest and id able recapture some of his better efforts he can go close. Artic Cherry is another who will give followers a good run for their money. His efforts of late have been moderate but not bad and his third to Never So Blue at Ludlow on his penultimate run was a sound one and that form gives him a live chance of success. Sound Of Cheers is another with moderate but consistent form and is in with a chance. He does seem to let you down though just when you think he should win but with a nice racing weight he is respected. A terrible race to be tipping or for that matter betting in but we will give Chigorin the reluctant nod to get his head in front.
