Pincode, runner-up to John F Kennedy at the Curragh in August, is by Galileo so stepping up from a mile could bring about a better performance and he has the maiden allowance. Vocaliser was a long way behind John F Kennedy in a Group 3 at Leopardstown but found the going too fast having won in softer conditions at Roscommon. Harold Peto was always in command when making all over a mile at Navan in October and his pedigree is all about middle-distances so he should improve, though race sharpness and definite stamina swings this in favour of EDELPOUR.
