Verdict

Slippers Madden was on board when YASIR (NAP) gained a shock victory at Uttoxeter early last month and again when Conor Dore's charge very nearly defied a 7lb rise on a return visit. Another 4lb won't help but the nine-year-old can gain his 14th career victory on his 99th start. Sauvignon produced her best performance so far over this course and distance in March and Dan Skelton's lightly-raced mare will be better for a recent run but Windy Writer has only been placed once in 11 starts over timber which have been mainly on this track. Rif Raftou looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Worcester in July but hasn't built on that while Mr Banks hasn't run since April of last year, though looks one to keep an eye on
