In depth

Verdict

The shortlisted three are Dichoh, Councellor and Daring Affair, with the selection being Dichoh. Baizically is lightly-raced enough not to be ruled out of things, while it will be interesting to see how Resplendent Nova copes with a step up in trip today. Byron Bay ran well when second here off a one-pound lower mark last time and he too is stepping up in trip today. He is closely weighted with the winner that day, Dichoh, and that horse rates as a major player today. He too is stepping up in trip today. Speed Dial Harry and Tyzack look held based on the form of that race just referred to. Daring Affair has now won four of his last 10 starts and, if none the worse following being pulled up here last time, he can go well despite being on a career-high mark. Councellor, who has been raised four pounds for a mile success here last time, is another to consider. Finally, with Glenbuck probably needing to improve a little, Just James's recent win having come in a seller, and Namroud possibly being held by Councellor based on recent course form over a mile, we return to the selection, which is Dichoh.
