In depth

Verdict

Neither of those with racecourse experience make any appeal and the betting may give the best clues with some powerful northern yards represented. That includes the likes of Mailshot and Vona while Kevin Ryan has a good strike rate at the track with this age group which brings Percy Toplis into the equation. But David Barron has his string in fine form and having won with four of his last seven two-year-old runners on the Fibresand, WICK POWELL, an early January foal, gets the vote to make a winning start. Poppy Pivot's dam won on this surface and she is another who could go well.
