Not much to separate these on paper at least but a chance is taken on BORASCO ahead of War And Peace and Loose Caboose. David Barron's filly has had a relatively light campaign and might be able to put her freshness to good use by scoring on her first start at the track. A prominent racer with form on soft, this four-year-old was once a fair bit better than this level and connections will be disappointed if she can't go close here from an ideal draw. War And Peace represents a yard going pretty well and although this one remains a maiden his official rating of 68 not only looks justified, it's also one of the best on display and it would be no surprise to see him go close to victory today. Loose Caboose might prefer five furlongs but there's no doubt she likes it here and, as shown by a short head second off a pound higher back in October, the filly looks to be accurately rated by the handicapper. However, today's draw could've been kinder and with stamina an issue we look elsewhere for the winner. Cheap Thrills looked half decent at the start of the year but has become frustrating although this is surely the easiest assignment Jamie Osbourne's filly has faced and so despite having to answer questions with regard to the surface she merits a market check whilst Diane's Choice is consistent enough and could outrun her price. A trappy claimer that might go the way of Borasco.
