      Verdict

      It would be no surprise if Govenor General finds enough improvement to take this, but he's looked a little one-paced so far and is making his debut on Fibresand. RIDGEWAY HAWK looks a safer option on his first start over 7f. He produced a late surge to get the better of previous winner Rylee Mooch over 6f here last week and today's extra distance should suit Mark Usher's gelding. Rath Maeve went close over C&D last time but is proving inconsistent and Ace Master makes more appeal judged on his recent placed efforts here.
