    Verdict

Alan Swinbank's PERSIAN PERIL is put forward as the pick to get the better of Points Of View and Alonso De Guzman. The selection was only narrowly beaten on heavy ground at Ayr last time having won at the same track previously. He is clearly in good heart at present and with this surface expected to suit he should take all the beating. Points of View looks the main danger as he shaped with a bit more encouragement at Yarmouth last time when he finished fifth behind Novikov. However, he has yet to prove that his sees out this trip and that is a slight cause for concern. Alonso De Guzman is not sure to be suited by this drop in trip and he looks opposable, while Giant Love ran a race that was simply too bad to be true last time. He could fare better today, but Persian Peril looks a safer bet and he is the pick.
