Verdict

An open contest can go to Moayed ahead of Carnivore and Foreign Edition. Nick Littmoden's charge has been running in better contests than this one over the winter and now dropped in grade, he should go close over his optimum trip. He is well-drawn, on a winning mark and can end his barren streak. Support for David Barron's Carnivore should be heeded as the stable are pretty shrewd, and as he won on his reappearance last year this could be the time to catch him. Hiccups returns from a break and should be accorded plenty of respect as he knows how to win, whilst Bo McGinty represents an in-form yard but this trip stretches his stamina somewhat. Rydale Ovation could go well at a price, however of more interest may be Foreign Edition. Julie Camacho's five-year-old shapes as though a return to this trip will suit so he must have place claims at least, however Moayed is on an attractive mark and gets the nod.
