There isn't a great deal to choose between Smalljohn and KINIGI at the weights; we'll side with the latter, who has proven form at the track. In fairness to Smalljohn he has yet to run here and he comes into the race on the back of decent efforts in similar contests at Wolverhampton. His style of running should be suited to the track but his yard doesn't have a great record here and he has to prove his affinity for the surface. In light of that, we'll stick with Kinigi who won a course and distance handicap last time. She only prevailed narrowly on that occasion but there may be a little more to come and her apprentice's claim will come in handy. Svindal and Courageous Nature are two more that could take a hand in the finish whilst it will be interesting to see if Rose Of Coma and First Hand attract any interest in the market but we'll take Kinigi to prevail.
