Verdict

JILLY WHY is marginally preferred to Swallow Forest and Note Perfect. Jilly Why was given a short break after the end of September before returning to action with a fair performance at the start of this month. She may have finished in midfield but she was only beaten just over a length and wouldn't need to find too much to gain a ninth career success. Bedloe's Island is a fascinating newcomer to the handicap ranks and it would be no great surprise were Robert Winston's mount to attract support. Willhewhiz can be given an each-way chance whilst Note Perfect has only twice finished out of the money here and could take a share of the pot home again. However, Swallow Forest is the one that we fear most as she is only 2lbs higher than when winning here in April and she also finished runner-up on her only other run at the track. She was well beaten last time but may respond positively to returning here and having her usual blinkers replaced by a visor. She does have something to prove on the back of that latest run though so the claims of Jilly Why are preferred.
