Verdict

A difficult race to call where distance winner Wotashirtful and Indian Trail look more than capable, but it is the course and distance form of SWINBROOK that we side. The eight-year-old was a course and distance winner last time, he travelled like a dream under a patient ride and looks capable of repeating that success. Form shows that the gelding traditionally does very well here. James Boyle¿s yard are in some good form of late and Wotashirtful is another who has preference for the course though he has yet to record a victory here. He poses a big threat to the selection though and proved his worth at Lingfield two starts ago where he was a winner. Indian Trail who has not won for just under two years returns from five months off the track. The gelding has dropped 18lbs since he last win and looks capable of returning to some good form. He will appreciate the run out here and on this ground can fare well. The market should hold the clues to the rest so is best watched but for our winner we return to Swinbrook.
