      Verdict

Shannon Arms, El Palmar and Kirkhammerton look the three to concentrate on in this trappy handicap and the tentative vote is given to Shannon Arms. The selection a fair third behind Major Blade last time out. That form has since been franked and off the same mark and from a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair. El Palmar rates the main danger as he loves this track and although he was disappointing last time he will appreciate the return to this longer trip and he should be noted in the market. Kirkhammerton is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind Woodhill Gold but he often finds less than expected off the bridle and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Blue Empire has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but he is hard to win with and with this in mind for the winner we return to Shannon Arms.
