In depth

Verdict

Another tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Mrs Philip, Kristoffersen and Charlies Double and the vote is given to Kristoffersen. The selection was a fair second behind Red Moor last time out doing all his best work at the finish. This big step up in distance looks to be in his favour and off what looks a fair mark he will be hard to beat. Mrs Phillip rates the main danger as she won well last time out when beating Royal Prodigy but she has a penalty for that win and this looks tougher so she is passed over for that reason. Charlies Double has won his last two races with plenty in hand but this is his toughest assignment to date and he will need to improve again to win off this mark. The Sister is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she is hard to win with. Of the remainder Absolut Power is another that has his optimum conditions but looks high enough in the weights and for the winner we return to Kristoffersen.
