In depth

Verdict

Small numbers but many chances in our fifth race. Master Henry put in a woeful display at Plumpton but he was taken on for the lead on that occasion and we will hope that he will leave that form behind. Ian Williams' charge has been dropped 2lb in the handicap since that run and looks to have a nice racing weight on this occasion. Minster York finished at a respectful distance behind Nick The Jewel earlier in the week. He has no problems with the ground although he appeared a little one-paced when the race began in earnest. Tamango looks plenty high enough in the weights at the moment. He fell at Perth on his last start and is not without his own ideas about the game. Dream With Me is a prolific winner over hurdles. He has fair form over chase fences but would need to improve a few pounds to land this. Ceresfield and Red Emperor were once stable mates but both face difficult tasks off these marks. In a race with many imponderables, we will take Master Henry against the field.
