Verdict

A headscratcher of a race for punters and PADRE TITO could be a player at the likely odds of reward. Emma Lavelle's seven-year-old is still seeking his first victory over hurdles but he had shaped with plenty of promise in his earlier starts for the handler and his current rating appears fair. Shot In The Dark stuck on willingly to score at Worcester and he has very obvious claims if staying the extra distance. He was behind Iguacu when they met here in May and will be worse off at the weights on this occasion. Bennachie was backed off the boards at Southwell having won his previous two races. A further rise in the weights was inevitable and connections will be hoping that his below par performance last time was due to the race coming too soon. Royal Craftsman has his first run in a handicap and a market check is advised.
