Verdict

The hat-trick seeking Jacks Last Hope is a rare runner here for County Durham handler Chris Grant so has to be respected. Rossetti won yet again in Jersey earlier this month but had made all over course and distance earlier so is no forlorn hope. Red Hammer won in handicap company at Huntingdon in March but Deauville Dancer was disappointing here on his latest start and Lilac Tree hasn't raced since September of last year. A LITTLE MAGIC was tailed off on his reappearance at Newton Abbot but the trip that day was clearly too far. He's lightly raced and it could be significant that Richard Johnson gets the leg-up for the first time today.
