In depth

Verdict

Having finished second on her racecourse debut, THE PIRATE'S QUEEN was plunged in at the deep end in a Listed race at Aintree next time. She finished a respectable fifth, however, and the fact that she was sent off favourite suggests she's quite well-regarded. This looks a good chance for her to get off the mark with Welcometothejungle probably the biggest danger on her debut third at Wincanton. Summertime Lady wasn't disgraced on her first appearance while Princess Bella was fifth at Market Rasen last month and is open to improvement.
