      Verdict

The previous race will give a good indication towards the chances of WHISTLEJACQUET, who is marginally preferred ahead of Quideeo De Touzaine, Monreale and Kateal. The last named has the benefit of an improving profile enhanced by a handy mares allowance. She is obviously still learning her trade but could go well for a place if on song. Monreale was Listed class in Germany but failed to show the same sparkle on the level over here. Nevertheless, he is in the right hands to find his level in the jumping game and would be dangerous to rule out. Quideeo De Touzaine is a stayer in the making but was very disappointing last time out. Still he should have learned from his run at Chepstow and may be a lot wiser this afternoon. However, Whistlejacquet already seems to likes this course and, as the trip should also suit him ideally; the Alan King-trained gelding looks very capable of giving weight and a beating to the rest today.
