In depth

Verdict

Executive Paddy can benefit from the assistance of Tony McCoy to land the spoils ahead of Batchworth Beau, Westfield Dancer and Brandy House. Executive Paddy was bought in after a successful trip across the Irish Sea to Fakenham just six days ago, cruising to the front two out and scoring a shade comfortably under Tom Doyle. Although he now has to go right-handed, the seven-year-old has nothing more to do, and with A P in the plate, should make a bold bid to follow up. Batchworth Beau rates the main danger after his claiming victory at Plumpton 10 days ago, but that was a big improvement in form, and it remains to be seen whether he can repeat the feat. Westfield Dancer reverted back to hurdles with a fair third in selling grade at Fontwell last time, but is better over fences, while Brandy House, although having shown little so far, hails from an in-form stable. For the winner we return to Executive Paddy.
