In depth

Verdict

Pretty Neat sets the standard in this novices' hurdle and she is nominated over Tambourine Ridge and Aya. The selection was only narrowly beaten in a bumper on her debut but she is clearly a nice horse and she is sure to have been well-schooled for this her hurdling debut. She will get maximum assistance from Tony McCoy in the saddle and she should take plenty of beating. Tambourine Ridge ran well on her debut at Towcester but she was a little disappointing last time and she is hard to recommend with maximum confidence. Aya has got some fair bumper form but she has had a few chances now and she will need to improve on her hurdling bow if she is to get her head in front. Lady Malousa could prove best of the others, but for the winner we will stick with Pretty Neat who made a pleasing impression on her racecourse bow.
