In depth

Verdict

Kid Charlemagne can complete the hat-trick in this bumper to close the card with Ruairi and Garleton most likely to chase him home. The selection clearly has a decent future and the manner in which he won last time when he beat Ouragan Lagrange marked him down as one to stay on the right side of. He is improving and this looks another straightforward opportunity for him. Ruairi won his bumper impressively enough last time but that was on heavy ground and the form does look anywhere near as solid as that of the selection. Similar comments would apply to Garleton while Taralina is an interesting newcomer from the Paul Nicholls yard and is clearly worth noting in the market. However, on the evidence of what we have seen so far Kid Charlemagne is impossible to oppose.
