In depth

Verdict

Rio Taffeta won well last time and can land the opener at the main expense of Alexander Monarchy and Willyn. The selection looked like one to stay on the right side of when winning comfortably at Catterick last time time beating Freudian Slip. He was good value for the winning margin that day on his first try over the trip, and with ground conditions to suit here he can follow-up. Alexander Monarchy was a fair second behind Artdeal at Beverely over 5f last time but with this step-up in trip expected to suit she should give the selection plenty to think about. Willyn ran well to chase home Marmite at Wolverhampton earlier in the week but she is fairly exposed and others are preferred today. Indecision hails from a shrewd yard and is worth a look in the market, while the Mick Channon-trained Llab Nala has his easiest task to date but he will need to improve on what he has shown so far. All of which returns us to Rio Taffeta who can land the prize.
