In depth

Verdict

AJRAAM made a winning debut at Newmarket in the Wood Ditton, a race that usually produces plenty of winners and this year's contest was no different. Charlie Hills looks to be bringing him quietly along and he should be capable of following up in this company. He has Le Deluge to beat on the latter's earlier form in France that included a win on the Polytrack at Chantilly in April while easy Catterick winner Steer By The Stars may prove best of the Mark Johnston pair as she returns to action. Yourartisonfire drops back in distance after a disappointing run at Doncaster and George Rooke looks to be treading water off his current mark.
