Verdict

TUXEDO is given the vote to defy his six pound penalty at the expense of Moonage Daydream and Violent Velocity. The selection landed a handicap at Yarmouth last time out, and connections are keen to get another run into him before he is reassessed by the handicapper. They have, however, enlisted the services of a five pound claimer to ease the welterburden of 10st 3lb, and if at the top of his game , he should not be far away. Moonage Daydream also attempts to defy a six pound penalty having won well at Beverley. He has won off a mark of 66 in the past so could still be well treated. Violent Velocity won a competitive race at Newmarket last month and has been running well in defeat ever since. He has won off a higher mark in the past though it looks like the handicapper has him where he wants him for the time being. Top weight, Tuxedo looks the form horse in the race and with luck in running, he will take all the beating.
