Verdict

Grey Soldier will need to improve from his chasing debut behind Sweeps Hill at Galway but that was his comeback and there's every chance of a much better run. Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler Headford Flyer should be better suited by fences and ran well on the Flat last month while progressive hurdler Cass Bligh is another interesting newcomer to chasing. Oscar Dan Dan was the best of these over timber having raced almost exclusively at the top level and landing a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse. He went to Cork for his chasing debut last month and, after drifting in the betting, never got into the race at any stage. He can surely do better than that and must be a threat. TWINLIGHT has competed at Grade 1 level over hurdles after making a winning debut for Willie Mullins in a Fairyhouse Grade 3. Still only a four-year-old, he gets all the allowances and could prove a star at this game so gets the vote.
