Verdict

ON THE FRINGE showed himself to be one of the most exciting hunter prospects around when beating the very useful Kilty Storm in the Champion Hunter Chase at Punchestown in April. Enda Bolger's charge was only a five-year-old at the time and defied his inexperience with a brilliant performance which bodes well for the future. Top Twig has been almost unbeatable between the flags for a long time and has won 19 of his 26 starts. He returned to action in this sphere with a comfortable success at Down Royal last month and would take advantage if the selection wasn't at his best. O Crotaigh is only a youngster in hunter terms and ran very well behind Whatnow Whatnext at Limerick with the lightly-raced Boxer Georg in third. He can go well along with the veteran Whyso Mayo though the latter is looking a light of other days.
