Verdict

Port Douglas made a successful debut on fast going at Leopardstown but had no answer to Sanus Per Aquam in similar conditions back there last month. He should be suited by easier ground but Jim Bolger trains that winner and has GLAMOROUS APPROACH engaged here. She came here for a maiden last month and showed real determination to make most in a stop-start contest. She will almost certainly do better on this ground so looks the one to be on. Waipu Cove had shown potential before taking advantage of a lenient mark to land a nursery at Galway last week but this is tougher and Dermot Weld's newcomer Burma Star, who is bred for this sort of trip, will need to be useful to get involved. The remaining pair have both shown enough to make their presence felt in an interesting contest.
