Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Wotchalike is relatively lightly raced over hurdles and Jim Best's gelding, who bounced back to winning ways at Wincanton last month, is taken to defy the 7lb rise for that success and follow up here, getting the verdict over Federstar and Kerriemuir Lass. The last mentioned is, like the selection, lightly raced and could be of interest in a handicap for the first time having been given a mark of just 102. Double The Trouble has like a lot of the yard's runners been in good form in for Andy Turnell of late but he may be a shade high in the weights, while Silver Prophet disappointed at Ludlow last time but would have claims on earlier form. Earlsfield Raider is hard to recommend on recent form and of more interest may be Federstar, who is less exposed than most of these and may be better than he showed when behind The Wooden Spoon last time. Wotchalike has solid claims though and he is preferred.
