Verdict

BAHIRA had to be quite vigorously ridden before asserting at Exeter earlier this month but that was her third win in four runs in bumpers and she clearly has ability. Receiving all the allowances here, Donald McCain's filly is fancied to make a winning debut over hurdles on her favoured fast ground. Management has made steady improvement over timber and the Wincanton winner will appreciate this stiffer track. He looks the main danger to the selection as a heavy fall at Southwell may have dented the confidence of Barnack, who also seems better over further.
