Verdict

September Moon looks set to go in again with Classic Rock and Return Home potential dangers. The selection has flourished since joining Tim Vaughan and may well have enough in reserve to defy a 9lb rise in the weights. That hike came courtesy of her thirteen length success in a Fontwell handicap and the fact that connections have resisted the urge to turn her out under a penalty suggests that they feel she can cope with it. Classic Rock doesn't win very often but stayed on well to chase home Gumley Gale over course and distance last time in a race where Return Home was still in contention, albeit looking held, when unseating two from home. Arctic Reason is capable on his day, as he showed when winning his penultimate start, but also unpredictable, as he demonstrated when whipping round at the start and unseating his rider last time. Arceye has struggled the last twice and of more interest are Fermat and Galaxia. That pair have a good deal to prove though so we'll return to the obvious selection which is September Moon.
