Verdict

A decent contest for the time of year and Eastlake is one for the short-list. He won here in May and has been quite highly tried since following up at Wetherby shortly after. Lord Villez and Pigeon Island may need this but Strumble Head comes here in good form having returned to winning ways at Ffos Las. He handles this quicker ground. Lawney Hill should find a race for Font off his current mark but this may be a little too competitive while Red Kingdom reserves his best for Musselburgh. ART BROKER has yet to win over fences and still needs to brush up his jumping a little but the handicapper has taken a real chance allotting him a mark of 111 as he's won off 11lb higher over hurdles. He could be worth an interest if allowed to start at generous odds.
