In depth

Verdict

Atlantic Coast bounced back with a vengeance last time out and is fancied to win again despite a rise in the weights; Aphorism and Abstract Folly make it to the shortlist. The selection is the sole three-year-old in the lineup and gets a whopping 11lb weight-for-age allowance. He has been transformed by the application of a visor and effective on any ground, he is fancied to defy an 8lb rise in the weights. Mister Completely's best runs seem to come when James and not Sophie Doyle rides, and so from out of the handicap he is fairly easy to take on. Of more interest then may be Aphorism who has finished with a bronze medal on his two starts this season. Jamie Spencer now takes over in the saddle and back on a more conventional track, James Fanshawe's charge should go well. Astrobella represents a trainer in great form so shouldn't be ruled out although he needs to improve significantly for this step up in trip. Hawridge King looks the best of the Kittow duo, whilst Kayf Aramis will need a strong pace if he is to score over this shorter trip. Moonshine Beach is a course and distance winner but looks out of love with the game, so a more eminent danger may be Nordwind who will appreciate this step up in trip. Abstract Folly is yet another to consider in an open affair, but it is Atlantic Coast who we put our faith in once again.
