In depth

Verdict

Lizzie Wiggins is preferred to Rampant Ronnie and Just Sam. The selection has to prove that she has suffered no ill effects from her fall on her latest start but she should go close here if able to reproduce the best of her form. She landed an all-weather claimer for Marco Botti on her first start before running creditably in handicaps for her current connections. Trip and ground should be fine and a bold bid is on the cards. Rampant Ronnie has yet to score but he's gone close on a couple of occasions, including in an apprentice handicap here over a mile last time. He did race over a mile six on his penultimate start but should have sufficient speed for this test and rates a player. Supporters of Just Sam will need to forgive a poor run but she had proved to be a most consistent performer prior to that; form which gives her every chance of making the frame. Would'ntitbenice ran well enough in a fair Goodwood maiden to enter calculations in this grade and she should be watched in the market along with Berrynarbor who has claims at the weights. However, our selection in the opener is Lizzie Wiggins.
