A tricky opener further complicated by the fact that recent winners Close To The Edge and Barkston Ash, who carries a penalty for a comfortable success at Newcastle seven days ago, have wide draws. Alfraamsey scored on the Polytrack in March but hasn't shown a great deal since while Royal Bajan was well beaten at odds-on on his handicap debut last month. Crucis Abbey keeps threatening to shed his maiden tag and Crystallus was knocking on the door at the end of last year but we fancy QUADRA HOP to come out on top here as he went close on his return to the turf at Chepstow last week.
