In depth

Verdict

A tight Novices¿ handicap chase and, with just 6lb separating the top handful in the ratings, it is not easy to narrow down the selection to just one. But Rigadoon just edges it on account of the reapplication of the headgear along with the ground being in his favour. Trooper and Springfield Rex could also go well at bigger prices but they are not ones to trust implicitly and are each way prospects only. Therefore Domappel is taken as the biggest danger ahead of Gottabe, who lacks experience in handicap company and may prefer a little more juice in the ground.
