In depth

Verdict

Zaffie Parson probably did not beat a great deal when landing a bumper at Hexham earlier this month and is likely to struggle under his penalty so preference is for the newcomer Lady Wilde, with Dillay Brook rated the best of the remainder. The selection hails from the yard of Noel Chance that always has to be respected in this grade and this half-sister to the stable's useful Murphy's Cardinal would not need to be out of the ordinary to win this. Political Pendant has every chance of reversing Hexham form with Zaffie Parson but may not be good enough, while Henry Daly's Blackbriery Thyne is likely to need more time. Follow My Leader has the pedigree for this game and could be of interest although a bigger threat is likely to come from Tom George's Warwick second Dillay Brook. Lady Wilde has an eye-catching pedigree though and is taken to make a winning debut.
