    Verdict

Diamond Sal has more to do than scoring at Carlisle last month and, while the stable of Howard Johnson remains in good form, a better bet may prove to be Oso Magic who gets the vote ahead of Dance Party. The selection was a good winner of a handicap chase at Newcastle two starts ago off a mark of 110 but can race here off a mark of 91 back over timber. Uptown Lad returned to form at Newcastle last time and has place claims along with Snow's Ride, who seems to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Executive Decision would have a chance if able to reproduce the pick of his form although a bigger threat seems likely to come from Dance Party. Mick Easterby's gelding is entitled to improve on what he has showed previously this term but Oso Magic has an obvious chance at the weights and gets the vote.
