Verdict

Rebel Rhythm has been expensive to follow so far this term but looks ot have found a decent opportunity to open his account over fences and is taken to do so at the main expense of Tees Components and Trisons Star. The last mentioned had little chance behind the useful chase recruit Turpin Green at Carlisle on his reappearance but is likely to have to settle for a minor role. Hot Weld as bits and pieces of form that would give him a chance and he does come from a yard that is in good form at present but Ferdy Murphy's gelding does not look good enough to trouble the selection. Abzuson and Sir Rowland Hill look someway short of the standard required to win this and a bigger threat is likely to come from the formerly useful flat and hurdles performer Tees Components, who makes his chasing debut here for Keith Reveley. Rebel Rhythm may ultimately have been disappointing so far over fences but time may show that Sue Smith's gelding has been beaten by some decent types and he should be good enough to beat his rivals today.
