Verdict

Gangster, three times a winner over hurdles, has been placed in Grade 2 and 3 company over fences though has questions to answer after a very moderate run at Kilbeggan in April. His stable also run Ornua, a progressive type over hurdles who ran well on his chasing debut in a strong event at Killarney. Roconga has come up against some smart performers in his eight starts over fences where he's been placed six times though he's looking exposed. VEINARD has some decent form to his credit over timber despite being 1-24 and he made a very promising chasing bow behind the useful Cadmium at Fairyhouse in February. That form could be good enough for this though the winner is trained by Willie Mullins, who has Sharps Choice making his chasing debut here and he's one to watch. Cotton Jenny's close second to Pleasure Dome at Tramore was over 2m5f so she could find this on the short side.
