    Verdict

Jim Bolger is struggling to find the right trip for Focas Mor and there's no guarantee she'll stay this far. Hurricane Volta started favourite on her reappearance at Navan but had no answer to The Big Cat or SINDARBAN and it's the runner-up who should take this. Michael Halford's Teofilo colt was making his debut that day and was probably unfortunate not to win though he stayed on strongly over that 1m2f and this longer trip can help him gain compensation. Dermot Weld's newcomer Renown has plenty to live up to as his dam has produced winners with her first seven foals including Famous Name so he's definitely one to keep an eye on.
