BAMBOLEO stayed on from the rear to finish fourth to Ugly Bug at Ffos Las two weeks ago and appears to be improving. He can thwart Xaarcet's hat-trick bid with the top weight 8lb higher than when scoring over a shorter trip at Taunton earlier this month. Ben Cee Pee M was placed off higher marks last season and may have needed his comeback run but Black Phantom appears to have lost his way and stablemate Bravo Bravo disappointed when favourite at Ffos Las on Boxing Day. Bincombe was backed to beat Xaarcet at Exeter on New Year's Day and is obviously thought capable of better - he must have a chance of turning the form around on better terms.
