Verdict

This is a very weak affair and Vertige Dore has tumbled down the weights in dramatic fashion since the summer. But it looks as though he's completely lost the plot while Award Winner, another on a very lenient mark at present, also shows little sign of a revival. ESTEEM is a long-standing maiden over hurdles but has won twice over fences and was beaten less than a length over the smaller obstacles off today's mark at Ludlow eight days ago. If he can reproduce that effort, David Evans' charge should take all the beating in this. Applause For Amy may prove best of the rest but that's not saying a great deal.
